Each Christening Cake is individually baked, decorated and made to order by Jenny, assisted by the rest of her small team.
The christening cake picture here shows a number of decorating methods, starting with a number of shaped pieces, all hand-mande in sugar, which are assembled on the cake.
In addition, a technique called FLOODED ARTWORK is used to produce the baby's face, the church window and the name inscription.
This involves preparing artwork and colour schemes, and drawing the outlines on the surface of the cake, and filling in and colouring each section individually.
