We limit our work to reach the highest quality- many clients book their wedding cake about ONE YEAR before the wedding, to make sure that they can have a Jenny's Cake. We can often accommodate short-notice requests, especially If your wedding is in the winter.
No. Many clients THINK that they do not like fruit cake, until they taste our Rich Fruit Cake! Made to our own secret recipe, our fruit cake is made around TWO MONTHS before your wedding, matured in fine french brandy to produce a smooth and mellow flavour. As the client, YOU have complete freedom to choose the cake mixtures to suit you- we do not insist on Rich Fruit, even if WE think it's delicious!
Yes. The vast majority of our cakes include a mixture of tiers. Often a three-tier cake will have Rich Fruit Cake, sponge and chocolate sponge cake. We offer the following flavours- Chocolate, Toffee Caramel, Vanilla and Lemon Drizzle.
Yes. We often provide cakes for smaller weddings, and have a number of designs specifically as two-tier and single tier wedding cakes. Most designs on our website can be increased or decreased in size to suit your wedding party.
This depends on the number of guests attending, usually including Evening Guests.
A 'standard' three-tier round cake would provide around 130 portions, and a three-tier square cake will provide about 150 portions. Please note that this is only a broad estimate, and depends on the combination of fruit and sponge tiers.
We also offer additional Cutting Sponge cakes which are decorated in a simple way. These are kept by the hotel and added to your wedding cake for serving to your guests, and provide an economical way of catering for a larger wedding party.
Yes. As each cake is designed specifically for you, this means that your ideas CAN be incorporated, with our guidance and advice.
Yes. we prefer to deliver and set up the wedding cake at the venue for your reception. We also have a wide choice of metal and perspex stands and bases. These are provided for a small additional charge, and a refundable deposit may also be required.
As a guide, a standard three tier cake should provide around 120-140 portions. We can also provide cutting sponge to suit larger weddings.
A small deposit (cash or cheque) is payable on booking, and the balance is due ONE MONTH prior to the wedding.
